Organization of the CAVAC

Team of professionals

The Laurentides CAVAC is managed by a board of directors and a director general who has a university degree in mental health and substance abuse. The team includes support professionals trained in various disciplines such as criminology, sexology and social work, and an office clerk with a secretarial background. In total, nine employees and one volunteer provide services to victims in the Laurentides region.

The Laurentides CAVAC is known to provide an ideal training environment for college and university students.

Service area

The service area of the Laurentides CAVAC corresponds to the area served by the Saint-Jérôme  courthouse (judicial district of Terrebonne) and the Mont-Laurier  courthouse (judicial district of Labelle).

The area includes the regional county municipalities of:

  • Antoine-Labelle
  • Argenteuil
  • Les Laurentides
  • Deux-Montagnes
  • Mirabel
  • Les Pays-d’en-Haut
  • La Rivière-du-Nord
  • Thérèse-de-Blainville

The Laurentides CAVAC staff also provide court accompaniment services to the residents of Terrebonne.
