Since 1990, the CAVAC in the Mauricie region has provided assistance for victims of crime and their close family members.
The history of the CAVAC is based on …
20 years of evolution: originally named the CAVAC de Trois-Rivières, and then the CAVAC de la Mauricie-Centre-du-Québec, the CAVAC de la Mauricie has now extended its services to cover Wemotaci.
20 years of involvement: the CAVAC puts its expertise to good use as a member of several joint action groups (for intellectual deficiency, mental health, violence, the elderly…)
20 years of collaboration: the CAVAC has always prided itself on developing and maintaining partnerships with the court system, the police, social services, hospitals, schools and community organizations.
20 years of innovation: the CAVAC now establishes phone contact with all victims who have filed a complaint that has been authorized by a criminal and penal prosecuting attorney.
20 years of commitment: victims remain the key focus for all members of the work team.
The CAVAC in the Mauricie region hosted an evening reception for over 100 guests to celebrate its anniversary.
